2024 is almost upon us so it is time for the last Jolly Club game of the year. In number 18 of the series, we fly to warmer climes on faraway islands. Here small airline companies compete for the top spot. Make sure you own the most shares, then you determine the next actions of the company! Help the companies grow so they can connect with each other to keep their heads above water.  

In Up Too High, your goal is to grow the companies you own shares in as much as possible. By buying shares smartly, you can get a piece of all the big airports, or you can make decisions as president of a company. Do you have the most shares in an airport? Then you decide on the company’s actions. For example, you can invest in the growth of the airport, purchase airplanes and pay dividends. The larger a company becomes, the more a share is eventually worth. The player with the most value in shares wins the game.   The game is played in rounds. Each round consists of two phases; a Shares phase and a Companies phase. In the Stock Phase, players buy a stock in order to expand their stock portfolio. In the Companies Phase, companies act in alphabetical order to generate income, buy expansions and pay dividends. In this phase, the president of a company determines what actions the company takes and how it continues to grow. For example, do you buy additional aircraft, or do you grow the airport level? That’s up to you. But be careful that another player does not get more shares and thus take over the presidency. At the end of the game, each share you own is worth as much as the total of the airport level and aircraft present. The player with the most valuable portfolio wins the game.

Heroes of Oktoberfest  For the 16th Jolly Club game, we need your help! At Oktoberfest a lot of guests are waiting for their food and drinks. Use a team of waiters, the heroes of Oktoberfest, to make people happy. May the best serving team win!   In Heroes of Oktoberfest, you score victory points by serving tables, hiring heroes and putting guests in the desired spots.
Serving tables with the right combinations of pretzels, beer and sausages creates a cozy atmosphere in the middle of the table.
The colorful guests around the rows of tables provide points if they are on your side in the right order.
Choose and place each table with great care to make it a party.
Score more victory points than your opponent and become the hero of Oktoberfest.   Heroes of Oktoberfest was designed by Dutch game designer duo Matthijs Leguijt and Suzanne Verhoef.

PANDA  In the 15th Jolly Club game, we go to the Giant Panda National Park. Create a safe environment for your animals. But beware, lively areas attract predators.   In PANDA, players build the Giant Panda National Park together. Score the most points by playing prey cards in the park and by strategically placing predator cards. Predator cards here you score immediately, while predator cards only score points at the end of the game.   The river running through the park is the starting point of the park’s growth. Prey animals come to the water to drink, but become an easy prey for the predators watching in the shadows. Adjecent to the river or to each other, prey animals find their place in the park while predators patiently wait. The players decide when the predators strike. Do you strike the moment a prey is spotted, or await your chances to score more points? But beware, other predators might take your place, and with that your points By playing strategically and striking at the right time, you can score the most points and walk through the park like a winner.   PANDA is Adrie Drent’s 5th card game at Jolly Dutch, after Hot Potato!, If It Fits, Télos and Odd shop. Sea or Shore   In the 14th Jolly Club game we travel to mysterious islands, where unprecedented riches await on the seabed.
If you play the highest card of the correct color, the treasure is yours.
But nothing is as simple as it seems, players show only the number or the color of their card: do you show the sea or the coast?
Play the right card, bluff and dive to the depths.
Will you resurface with the most treasures?   In this game, your goal is to uncover as many treasures of different colors as possible.
You do this by playing the best island cards at the right time.
Play smart and think carefully about whether you are covering the island (number) or the sea (color) of your card.
In this way you try to fool the other players and play the highest card of a color.
If you succeed, you win the treasure card of that color or maybe you can even take treasure from another player!
If there is no treasure card in the color you played, you activate an action that gives you an advantage and increases your chances for other treasures.
The game ends after two rounds and the player with the most points wins the game.   Sea or Shore is designed by Lars Jansen, known for the Jolly Club game Perfect Numbers.

Royale: Party at Louis’  For the 13th Jolly Club game, we welcome you to the royal dinner of Louis XIV! It’s up to you to serve the picky nobles at this extravagant party. Enjoy the masquarade ball but don’t get too distracted. No one likes to wait for their food!   In Royale: Party at Louis’ it’s up to you to provide the nobles with their dinner. The tray in the middle of the table contains diverse dishes from which each player can choose during their turn. Choose a row or column and place the dishes in front of your nobles to provide them with their wishes. But be aware! The nobles are picky eaters. If you place something in front of them they don’t fancy, they will throw everything in front of them in the trash. If you provide a noble with their wishes, you score points Will you be the waiter who makes the evening a success, or will your guests leave with an empty stomach?   ‘Royale: Party at Louis’ was designed by Dutch game designer Wouter van Strien.
