Ict is an important aspect when it comes to the continuity of our organization.
For this reason, various measures have been taken to ensure the continuity of both hardware and software as well as the integrity of (business-critical) data:

– Access to data is secured.
Only users with a username and password can access (parts of) the data;

– We maintain a password policy.

– Based on rights and roles, function separation is automated by assigning functions to our employees through authorizations.
This allows registration, storage and disposal functions to be separated.
Separation of functions applies both to system management functions and to the use of the (administrative) software systems;

– No data may be stored on loose media such as USB sticks, notebooks, tablet PCs and smartphones.

– Access to mobile devices such as notebooks, tablet PCs and smartphones is secured with an access code to prevent third parties from gaining (unauthorized) access to the data;

– (Activated) computers (including laptops, smartphones and other mobile devices) should remain under the owner’s supervision and should not be left unattended (without security) (such as in car, train, etc.);

– Data is stored on the central server.
It is not permitted to store relevant files locally on the PC partly in connection with making backups and accessibility to the files by other employees.
In addition, loss of data occurs in the event of a power failure;

– Our systems are centrally protected against viruses and spyware using antivirus software, anti-spyware software and a firewall;

– The central server is located in a separate server room.
Access to the server room is locked.

– To keep data available, we use a backup procedure including periodic testing of the restore. Each night a backup is made to a different location.The backup is kept outside the office building. The ICT department periodically tests the restore of a backup for proper operation;

– Operating system updates on both PCs (as well as notebooks, tablet PCs and smartphones) are processed by the ICT Department;

– Our server is connected to an emergency power supply (by means of a UPS).
This prevents corruption of data due to power outages.
The server and any other storage systems connected to the emergency power supply are automatically shut down if the power failure lasts too long;
